We are currently working on the first update for Radio Flare. We received many suggestions and give our best to address them. Some of the larger additions and changes are:
- a new (and better looking) menu
- two new enemy types, numerous new formations
- at least one completely new level
- more influence on the soundtrack due to a completely new sound engine
- autosave on exit, continue when app is launched again
- a pause menu
- generally better balancing
- bug fixes
You can post further suggestions in the comments!

A bit late I stumbled across another review of Radio Flare on FingerGaming. And this time, we are happy to see that exactly the points that were so important to us during development got highlighted: The exact and responsive controls, the rhythm of interaction and the interactive soundtrack.
Danny, who reviewed the game, obviously really loved the game: “It’s one of the best iPhone games I’ve played so far …”

Wondering how to crack the Jack Pot achievement? Here is a quick look at Radio Flare’s scoring system:
In Radio Flare points are awarded for each desynchronized enemy. As you mark up to four enemies the score of each enemy targeted in sequence is increased significantly. So if you mark for example 4 drones as you can see in the below picture, the points awarded are 150, 600, 1350 and 2400. Try to tactically mark more valuable opponents (like homing missiles or fighters) later in a sequence to harvest the most points. You might also try not collecting the released red flares to stall game progress as you try to rack up more points. Keep in mind though that you are awarded a time bonus after each stage that is wasted by hanging around too long.
Good hunting and let us know your high scores and comments in the forum!
